The heart of Portugal's textile industry can be found in the rolling regions north of Porto. Its history stretches back to the middle of the 16th century and thus belongs to one of Europe's oldest. The preservation of its genuine craftsmanship as well as an openness to new innovations has led to the place being considered to this day as one of the world's most prominent in textile manufacturing. This is where Shirtonomy's shirts originate.

We are proud that Shirtonomy is following in the footsteps of this solid craft tradition. The fact that our shirts are made here gives us access to the knowledge that has been built up thanks to the area's long history in shirt manufacturing. In addition, here we have an opportunity to have an overview and check that the production meets the quality and labor standards we cherish.

As a rule, Shirtonomy's fabrics are not produced locally, but are imported from some of the world's most prominent weavers. After thorough research, we have selected the fabric suppliers we believe offer the best combination of feel, durability, wrinkle resistance and affordability for you as a customer. Currently, we mainly work with fabrics from Great Britain and Italy, which are produced in some of Europe's leading weavers.
